Creating My Own Cereal Advert

Another task finished and this time I was faced with the challenge of creating my own cereal advert. I had to create a story board and write risk assessments. I filmed this advert at Curber Gap and Sheerwood Pines. It was very challenging but I finally completed it despite being over the time limit. Find it here on YouTube:

John Lewis Practice Task

A new task I was faced with was to edit the ‘John Lewis Home Insurance’ advert to make it my own. But I had to ensure that the company’s slogan was still included and the meaning was not lost. I changed the music to a more upbeat current song that I thought suited the advert more. Check out my recreation here:

Being an A-S level media student is quite challenging to say the least as I’ve never taken a course like it. This blog will hold all my projects across my 2 year course and the transition from A-S level to A-level. So far I’ve completed a deodorant advert, where I had to take many adverts from over the last 50 years and edit clips of each into a short clip with music that fits to creat an effective advert that makes people want to buy the end product. Im in the process of editing an insurance video based on John Lewis’ advert from 2015. Changing the music around and adding effects to make it my own. Have a look at my first project here :
